Duo Parnas with Pianist Vincent Adragna

7:30 PM • April 5, 2013

Siblings Madalyn Parnas (violin) and Cicely Parnas (cello) are quickly establishing themselves on the international classical music scene with their “electricity and drama” (The New York Times).

Fresh from performances in New York, London, and a tour in France, the pair will be joined in Oneonta by acclaimed French pianist Vincent Adragna.

The group will offer selections by Brahms, Ravel and modern composers. Featured will be a work by SUNY Oneonta professor emeritus and Catskill Conservatory music director Carleton Clay.

Don’t miss the pre-curtain cello performance by OCA Young Artist Jacob Efthimiou at 7:15 pm.

Duo Parnas recently released a third CD. Madalyn is completing a master’s as a Marshall Scholar at London’s Royal Academy of Music, and Cicely has appeared on NPR’s “Performance Today” as a Young Artist in Residence.

Admission is $20 for adults; $6 for students.
Tickets are available at the door; also at The Green Toad Bookstore on Main Street, and at The Eighth Note on South Main Street, in Oneonta.
